This Privacy Policy explains how Surgie collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal information when you visit or use www.surgie.com, create an account, purchase digital access, watch content, begin a membership, communicate with us or otherwise use our related services collectively referred to as the Services.

Surgie is operated by RECONSTRUCAO OSSEA LTDA, registered under 52.268.170/0001-55, Brazil.

For purposes of applicable data-protection laws, Surgie is the controller of personal information covered by this Policy unless another controller is expressly identified when information is collected.

1. Scope of this Policy

This Policy applies to personal information processed through the Services, including Surgie storefront pages, customer accounts, streaming areas, creator channels, memberships, support communications and related digital features.

This Policy does not replace a more specific privacy notice or agreement presented for a creator program, institutional arrangement, event, clinical-content workflow or other specialized activity.

2. Professional audience and patient information

The Services are designed primarily for adult healthcare professionals, surgeons, physicians, medical trainees and other learners interested in surgical education. The Services are not intended for children under 18.

Do not submit patient names, medical records, identifiable images, medical record numbers, health identifiers, protected health information or other patient-identifiable clinical information through general account fields, checkout fields, comments, reviews, surveys, contact forms, support emails or community features.

Only submit clinical information through a workflow that Surgie has expressly approved in writing for that purpose.

Some educational content may depict real procedures. Surgie requires creators and content providers to hold the rights, consents, institutional approvals and legal authorizations applicable to the content they submit.

Viewers must not attempt to identify a patient, extract patient information, combine content with other information to identify a patient or redistribute clinical footage.

3. Personal information we collect

Account and profile information

• name;

• account credentials and authentication information;
• communication preferences;
• account status and entitlements;
• membership status; and
• saved preferences.

Professional information

When you choose to provide it, we may collect:

• profession or professional role;

• credentials or verification information.

Order, payment and subscription information

We may process:

• billing name and billing address;
• order number and transaction date;
• purchased content or plan;

• renewal, cancellation and refund history;
• credits and promotional balances; and

Full payment-card credentials are generally collected and processed by Shopify and the applicable payment providers. Surgie ordinarily receives payment confirmation and limited payment information rather than full card details.

Usage and video-engagement information

We may collect information about how you use the Services, including:

• free previews started or completed;
• playback events;
• video progress and completion status;
• content saved or accessed;
• downloads initiated through authorized controls;

Surgie does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Depending on the law that applies to you, certain analytics or advertising disclosures may nevertheless be characterized as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising.

Where applicable, you may opt out through Your Privacy Choices. Surgie will process recognized browser preference signals when required by law.

7. How we disclose personal information

Shopify

Shopify provides storefront, checkout, customer-account, order, privacy and commerce infrastructure. Shopify may process information as a provider to Surgie and, for certain functions, under its own legal responsibilities and privacy notices.

Payment and subscription providers

We disclose information needed to process purchases, recurring charges, payment updates, refunds, cancellations and fraud checks.

Creators, channels and institutions

Surgie does not disclose full payment-card information to creators or channels.

Business transactions

8. International transfers

Surgie serves users internationally and uses providers that may process personal information in Brazil, the United States, Canada, the European Economic Area and other countries.

No online service, transmission or storage method is completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting your credentials and notifying Surgie promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.

Brazilian data subjects may exercise the rights available under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais, including confirmation, access, correction, portability where applicable, anonymization, blocking, deletion in the circumstances provided by law, information about sharing, objection, consent withdrawal and review of qualifying automated decisions.

Describe the right you wish to exercise and identify the relevant account or email address. Do not send unnecessary identification documents or patient information unless Surgie specifically requests a secure method.

Surgie may need to verify your identity, authority or jurisdiction before completing the request.

Requests will be answered within the period required by applicable law.

You may also submit a complaint to the Brazilian Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados or to the competent privacy authority in your jurisdiction.

12. Marketing choices

You can unsubscribe from promotional email by using the unsubscribe link included in the message or by contacting Surgie.

Surgie may continue to send transactional, account, billing, access, security and legal communications when necessary to provide the Services or comply with law.

13. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and Surgie does not knowingly offer accounts or paid digital surgical education directly to children.

14. Third-party websites and services

The Services may link to external websites, applications, publications and social networks.

Surgie does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties. Review the applicable third-party privacy notice before providing information.
